RN Labor and Delivery, Per Diem Nights

This position provides antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care to females of childbearing age and their fetus/infant. This position provided direct patient care to neonate, adolescent and adult patient populations. Perform/interpret completed maternal assessment. Triage of the obstetrical patient and performance of the medical screening examination. Provides appropriate care to laboring patients. Identify situations indicative of complications and intervenes appropriately. Recognize signs of impending precipitous delivery and take appropriate action. Infant Security. Provide patient and family education. Breastfeeding/Infant Nutrition. Infant Hypoglycemia Pain/Stress Management. Demonstrates knowledge of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies and interventions.  Minimum one-year experience.   Must have current CA RN license, ACLS, NRP.  Preferred to be bilingual in Spanish.
